Hey, we have a BLIZZARD on the way! This is the first major snowstorm in two years and apparently the weather decided to go big or go home. *g* The first flakes are coming down now and they are talking 18+ inches before it's over (that's 45+ cm for the rest of the world). We got about four inches of snow last night! \o/ Not much I know but more than we've had in about a year. Last year we barely got any and none after the new year, which was a bit of a relief after the year before when the snow drifts were over my head. - A massive storm system has been racing across the US today (earlier this evening it stretched from upstate New York down to Texas - that's BIG) knocking out power and blowing down trees. Hey know what? It's WINTER here. Yeah, I didn't think it was ever going to come either but we now have about 6 inches (or so) of snow on the ground and it snowed all day yesterday. It's snowing here again. Yay. I'd say we have about 4-5 inches right now so we'll likely get only 2-3 before this bit of the storm is over. The fun part is going to be tomorrow when they are talking sleet, freezing rain, and rain. I'm hoping for rain! Some flooding of streets would be better than widespread power outages I think.
